Monochromatic Makeup

IMG_7735.JPEG

Something I’ve always admired but never tried was single-tone makeup across my entire face. I’ve seen monochromatic makeup looks featured in magazines, and felt they always made celebs look effortless put together without looking overdone. The most intimidating part of the process was finding a color flattering enough to stand alone. For me, that color is pinky-peach with hints of shimmer.

Eyes 👀

For my eyes I went out of my comfort zone and used my Fenty Beauty Highlighting Matchstix as eyeshadow. I blended it over the center of my eyelids and the result was an understated metallic finish that almost made my lids look dewy but without the sticky feeling of a cream shadow.

Face 👩🏾

My Current favorite product in my collection is my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the shade Luminous Flush. It’s color rivals NARS Orgasm but without the shimmer and flecks of glitter. The powder is so smooth and picks up very well on the brush with little fallout. The color blends seamlessly into my cheeks without sitting on top of my skin. I’ve never worn a more perfect blush.

I also hit the high points of my face with my favorite highlighter from the Becca x Chrissy Teigen palette, Beach Nectar to tie together he whole peachy look

Lips 👄

Besides my Fenty Matchstix, another multi-use staple is my Benefit Cha-Cha Lip & Cheek Tint. It’s a pretty coral shade with orange undertones that looks great on my cheeks in the summer and gives my lips a nice bitten look year round. I love that color is long lasting, it’s weightless and does not transfer. I brushed this over my lips and let it soak in before topping it with my NARS Orgasm Lipstick for a pop of glow in the center.

Here is the end result! I loved how I looked peachy with and all over champagne glow.
